Objectives: 

- Activation of SI Alumni Network in Moldova and other neighbor countries, establishment platform for continuous collaboration and activities (within SI Alumni Moldova and with SI Alumni from other countries), exchange of knowledge and experience, establish contacts with main actors (public sector, civil society, Swedish Embassy, international organizations, mass-media, students) for further activities;

- Raising awareness about the importance of Transparency in Public Sector, its benefits and potential risks of insufficient transparency;

- Identifying the most feasible solutions which can be easily implemented in Moldova and other SI Alumni countries. Planning follow up joint activities to develop and implement feasible solutions identified during the seminar;

- Promotion of opportunities offered by SI.

Establishment of a strong platform and contacts that understands the importance of transparency and their role in promoting the necessary reforms.

Carina Silbo
Project Leader and Resident Advisor to the Moldovan Tax Administration

Project Leader and Resident Advisor to the Moldovan Tax Administration (MSTI). The bilateral project is implemented by Office for international Projects (OIP) at the HQ of the Swedish Tax Agency. OIP implements international development projects in middle income and developing countries that are predominantly financed by state aid and in the area of public administration, with focus on fiscal policy and taxes. As Resident Adviser , cooperates and coordinates activities with other donors and provides assistance to the MSTI management and employees. The cooperation aims to modernize the tax administration and have three focus areas, interaction with taxpayers, tax system and tax control and management of the tax administration. The work has a strong emphasis on adoption to EU -legislation and best practices and is characterized by values for democracy, equality and human rights
